Carbides too aggressive for host bar

This set of wear rods came off of a sled that pulled into a dealer for new slides. The sled was driven by a woman participant of the annual "Women On Snow" snowmobile ride.  

The woman was very surprised when the dealer told her she also needed new wear rods. Her husband had just installed new wear rods before the snowmobile ride. The remarkable thing about these wear rods above is that the woman didn't notice a difference in handling.

The carbide was so aggressive that the 1/2" host bar was not strong enough to stay straight.
