Yamaha FX Nytro Front End Upgrade

Owners of 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro owners who want to upgrade their 2008 models to the more predicable and less bump-steer 2009 geometry with “more neutral handling characteristics” can do so, as we‘re told all of the parts and pieces to do so are interchangeable. The shocks and springs are said to be the same, with the different parts being the tie rods, a-arms, stabilizer, ski bumpers and spindles. The 2009 a-arms are shipped pre-assembled with the ball joints and bushings installed.

It looks like the retail price of the parts to make the conversion will run you about $1,532.66 for a FX Nytro ER and $1,842.82 for a FX Nytro FX to upgrade to the 2009 geometry.

Or - you could turn the rubberstops around and add a FREE ¼” shim to the rear of the 08 Nytro. The 2009 Nytro will work better by just adding FREE 3/8” shims to the rear.

It’s a No-Brainer!!! I find it insulting! You pay $10 grand for a sled with poor handling and they have the nerve to charge this kind of money for an upgrade that only makes it not so bad, compared to the 08 Nytro.
